Galen AI
What is Galen AI?
Galen is 4sight's conversational AI health assistant. It uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to analyze your personal health data and answer questions in natural language. You can ask about trends, correlations, comparisons, and more across all four wellness pillars. Galen is available to Premium subscribers.
What kind of questions can I ask Galen?
You can ask Galen about specific values ("What was my weight yesterday?"), trends ("How is my mood trending?"), comparisons ("This week vs last week"), correlations ("What affects my sleep?"), dose-response relationships ("How does caffeine affect my sleep?"), journeys ("How did I get from 280 to 260 lbs?"), best/worst analysis ("What do my best days look like?"), and averages ("What's my resting heart rate average?").
Does Galen give medical advice?
No. Galen provides health data insights for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Galen includes safety guardrails that detect emergency patterns and direct users to appropriate emergency services. Always consult a healthcare provider for medical decisions.
Features
What are AI Insights?
AI Insights use machine learning to find correlations in your data that you might miss. For example: "Your mood scores 34% higher on days you sleep 7+ hours" or "Your sleep quality improves after evening walks."
How do I import CSV data?
Premium users can import data from supported sources. Open the 4sight mobile app or web dashboard and go to Integrations > CSV Import. Supported imports include LoseIt nutrition data, RingConn sleep data, smart scale body composition data (Renpho, Yunmai, Fitbit Aria), and blood work/lab results. Each import type auto-detects the file format and processes it into your health timeline.
How does the fasting timer work?
In the Fuel tab, log your first and last meal to set your eating window. 4sight tracks your eating window duration, fasting hours, and fasting streaks over time. You can view eating window consistency, fasting trends, and meal timing patterns on your Fuel dashboard and web dashboards.
Can I track custom metrics?
Currently, 4sight supports over 150 canonical health metrics across the four pillars. Custom metric tracking is on our roadmap for future releases.
What are the web dashboards?
Premium subscribers get access to rich interactive analytics dashboards at 4sight.fit. The web dashboards include over 100 panels across 15 subcategory tabs covering Move (Activity, Labs, Body, Workouts, Heart, Vitals), Fuel (Macros, Meals, Hydration, Medications & Supplements, Fasting), Rest (Sleep, Stages & Recovery), and Rise (Mood & Wellness, Activities). Charts include scatter plots, streamgraphs, heatmaps, radar charts, and more with week, month, year, and all-time views.
What is the caffeine clearance timer?
The caffeine clearance timer calculates when caffeine drops below 25mg in your system based on a 5.5-hour half-life. Log your caffeinated drink with a timestamp and 4sight shows you a decay timeline with a sleep-safe cutoff. This helps you understand how your caffeine consumption affects your sleep quality.
What is the dream journal?
The dream journal lets you log your dreams and track patterns over time. It includes a dream word cloud visualization, a dream frequency heatmap, monthly dream analytics, and dream pattern insights. It's part of the Rest pillar.
What are the breathing exercises?
4sight includes 5 guided breathing exercise patterns as part of the Rest pillar's relaxation activities: 4-7-8 (relaxation), Box Breathing (stress relief), Calm Breathing, Energizing Breathing, and Resonant Breathing. Each guides you through timed inhale, hold, and exhale phases.
What is the flow state timer?
The flow state timer tracks your deep work sessions across three automatic phases: Warmup (0-15 minutes), Flow (15-60 minutes), and Deep Flow (60+ minutes). It detects your progression through these stages automatically. 4sight also includes a Pomodoro timer (25-minute work sessions with breaks) and a deep work timer for extended focus sessions. All are part of the Rise pillar.
Devices & Integrations
What devices and apps does 4sight support?
4sight supports 17 active integrations including Fitbit (direct OAuth), Apple Watch (HealthKit), Garmin, Whoop, Oura Ring, and RingConn via Health Connect or CSV import. Nutrition apps include LoseIt (CSV and API), MyFitnessPal (Health Connect), and Open Food Facts (400M+ food database). Fitness apps include Strava and Google Fit. Wellness apps include Headspace and Calm. Smart scales from Renpho, Yunmai, and Fitbit Aria are supported via CSV import.
Does 4sight work with Oura Ring?
Yes. Oura Ring data syncs to 4sight via Android Health Connect. 4sight receives your sleep, readiness, and activity data from Oura. This data is then combined with your other health sources across all four pillars for cross-pillar correlation analysis.
Does 4sight work with Apple Watch?
Yes. On iOS, 4sight integrates with Apple Watch through Apple HealthKit. It syncs activity, workouts, heart rate, HRV, sleep, vitals, and mindful minutes. The integration supports 17+ data types with automatic deduplication.
Can I import my blood work or lab results?
Yes. Premium subscribers can import blood work results via CSV. Download the template from the Integrations page, fill in your lab values (glucose, cholesterol, liver function, kidney function, vitamins, hormones), and upload. 4sight automatically processes the data into your health timeline.
Scores & Scoring
How is my 4Sight Score calculated?
Your 4Sight Score is a daily composite of four pillar scores: Move, Rest, Fuel, and Rise. Each pillar is weighted equally and scored from 0 to 100 based on how well you met your personalized goals for the day. A small harmony bonus rewards balance across all four pillars.
What does each pillar measure?
Move measures your daily activity, including calories burned, steps, and active minutes against your goals.
Rest evaluates your sleep duration against your goal, sleep quality, bedtime consistency, heart rate variability (if available), and recovery activities like sauna or breathing exercises.
Fuel tracks how closely you hit your calorie target, your macro and hydration goals, and whether you stayed within healthy limits for things like sugar and sodium.
Rise rewards you for showing up. Logging your mood, journaling, practicing mindfulness, and building consistent habits all contribute. Rise never penalizes you for how you feel — it rewards the act of checking in.
What score should I aim for?
Meeting your goals earns you a full score. You don't need to exceed your goals to score well — just consistently hitting them is what matters. Focus on balance across all four pillars rather than maxing out a single one.
What if I don't have data for a pillar?
If data isn't available for a component (for example, your device doesn't track HRV), the scoring system automatically adjusts by redistributing weight to the components that do have data. You're never penalized for missing data sources.
Data & Privacy
Is my health data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We never sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings > Privacy > Delete My Data. This will permanently remove all your health data from our servers within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Premium users can export their data in CSV, PDF, or JSON formats. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Download My Data in the app to get a copy of all your health information.
What data do you collect?
We collect only the health data you explicitly authorize, such as steps, heart rate, sleep, nutrition logs, and mood entries. See our Privacy Policy for a complete list.

How do I upgrade to Premium?
Go to Settings > Subscription > Upgrade in the app. Choose your billing frequency (monthly at $7.99/mo or annual at $79.99/yr — inaugural launch pricing; regular price $9.99/mo or $99.99/yr). Payment is processed through the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe (web).
How do I cancel my subscription?

Yes! Premium includes a 14-day free trial for annual plans and a 7-day free trial for monthly plans. You'll have full access to all Premium features during the trial period.
What happens if I downgrade to Free?
